The 58th Anniversary of Faculty of Arts

The Faculty of Arts celebrated its 58th anniversary on September 27th, 2016. Some activities were held to mark the celebration and it involved all students, lectures, and staff of Faculty of Arts.
For almost a week, several academic and non-academic activities were held. There was a cultural performance parade, sport event, students' choir competition, seminar, and book review. For the cultural performance parade, it involved traditional dance performance by students of Faculty of Arts, kids national costume parade, and other visiting cultural performances. Meanwhile, the sport event was followed by students, lectures, and staff by jogging with certain route around the campus. Students of Faculty of Arts were also given an opportunity to perform their skills in singing. The students' choir competition was joined by all departments in Faculty of Arts. Then, seminar and book review were discussing the book of Serdadu Belanda di Indonesia 1945 - 1950 written by Prof. Gert Oostindie, the director of KITLV Leiden.
The peak of anniversary was celebrated on Tuesday (27/9) followed by students, lectures, and staff. In the morning, they performed flag ceremony. After that, the celebration was celebrated in the hall of Widya Sabha Mandala. There were performances from students, lectures, and staff. There was also a reward for best lectures in research, students, and staff. (rah)
