There are 7 Laboratories with the total 392 m2. Two of them are Language laboratory and Computer room. As for reading room, there are many spot for the student to read such as Library, Main Lobby, Bale Bengong and Lobby of Main Amphitheater (Faculty Great Hall). Where as for the Lecturer, there are 2 spacious Lecturer room and 2 English Department administrative room that equipped with 25 reading desk.
These Laboratory are very adequate to serve the student with their Listening and Speaking practice during the class. All student should obey the rule in using these laboratories.  is not only use to serve the mandatory subject of the department. The student may use the Lab to enhance and practice their skill out side the mandatory class that preceded with request letter.
To support and enhance students’ English proficiency and research, the Department planned to renovate old laboratories to be more modern, up-to-date and adequate for English major students and students from other departments. Before using the labs, all lecturers and staff had to attend training on how to use the lab and the English program.
The labs are available for all lecturers who need to use those facilities in their teaching and for students who want to develop their English skills; however, the labs are under lecturers or staff’s supervision.
Many courses could be conducted more effectively in the sound labs especially speaking and listening courses such as Phonology and Oral English. Students can record their voices, do written assignments, or even note interesting websites to study the next time. Thus, the sound labs are very useful for students and it is important to keep all equipment in the lab working well and ready for use. As the result, staff always check and test equipment every month. If there are any problems with the equipment, they will report to the department and the faculty for fixing or replacing.
