Most of them are enjoyed to read in the library and if they want, they may borrow the book. Besides, some students use the library to conduct their group discussion or project.
A variety of academic resources necessary to support study and research is provided for the University members. All members and patrons can benefit from several types of up-to-date information resources related to the University curriculum and different services that the library serves, such as books, reference works, theses, journals and newspapers, audio visual materials, electronic books (EBSCO, SpringerLink, Science Direct, ProQuest Digital Dissertations, e-journals, and online databases. Moreover, the library also provides group study rooms for students and other users to have a group discussion or other group activities.
Library resources are updated every year. The annual book fair is a regular event in the University. Faculty members and students can recommend useful materials for the library. The recommended materials are reviewed and verified by the Department, the Faculty, and library staff before the final purchasing decision is made.
The other library which is provided by the Faculty of Arts allows students and lecturers to use it as a place for self-study or group discussion. However, the number of books is quite limited and the service time is not as long as that of the Central Library.
To support effective teaching and learning, the university, including faculties and departments, has all students do an online survey before the end of each semester. One of three parts of the survey is the Evaluation of Students’ Satisfaction with Learning Support. The students can give any comments online about the quantity and quality of classrooms facilities. Then the result of the survey will be report to the university and the faculties to process afterwards. Some equipment that needed fixing or replacing would be checked and reported to faculty level in order to make sure that all equipment would be ready for the coming semester.
