Student Assessment
There are three stages of the student assessment: new student admission, continuous assessment during the course of the study, and final evaluation before graduation. The recruitment and selection of new students of English Study Program is administered centrally at the university level. Each student has an academic advisor to assist and foster their study in campus. At the end of each semester, the advisors will monitor their advisees’ academic progress (GPA) to make sure that their students won’t have any studying problems.
There are a wide range of assessment methods designed by a group of lecturers who is in charge of each course. The assessment methods include the midterm and final exams, class attendance, quizzes, role play tests, which are related to expected learning outcomes of each course. Lecturers normally hand the course syllabus and clarify to their students about the assessment methods and grading criteria in the course orientation, so students can make their study plan in advance. Students may follow the evaluation of each course and program the course in the Study Plan Card (KRS), meet the rules and regulations specified. Evaluations can be carried out in written and oral test, seminars and assignments. In one semester, the assessment is conducted at least 3 times.
The assessment criteria have been standardized by the university in line with the university academic regulations.
