Student Personality Development Training

The Bachelor of English Literature (BoEL) study program held a Student Personality Development Training activity entitled "Communication Skills for Superior, Independent and Cultured Personality Development" on Monday, 13 February 2023 at the Widya Sabha Mandala Auditorium FIB Unud. This activity was attended by all class 2022 students and student members of HMPPSI. In this activity, students are given the training to improve communication skills both in lectures and outside lectures. The presentation of the material was filled by speakers who were lecturers of the English Literature Study Program, Udayana University, namely Mrs A.A. Sagung Shanti Sari Dewi, S.S., M. Hum., M. App. Ling.


The activity began with remarks from the Coordinator of BoEL Study Program, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Mulyawan, S.S., M.Hum. In his remarks, he said that this student personality development training activity is a routine agenda carried out by the study program every year to hone students soft skills. "This activity is one of the program's routine agendas, which is held every year. The aim is to hone the soft skills of younger students and at the same time provide additional provisions, apart from what is obtained in lectures, in entering the world of work later," said Prof. Mulyawan.




In the material presentation session, the resource person, namely Ms. A.A. Sagung Shanti Sari Dewi, S.S., M.Hum., M. App.Ling, conveyed various information regarding the importance of communication skills, tips for honing communication skills and implementing good and effective communication. Activities are also filled with short face-to-face communication practices and discussion sessions.




Coordinator of the BoEL Study Program, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Mulyawan, S.S., M.Hum. hopes that this training activity can be useful for participants not only when attending lectures but can be a provision when entering the world of work. "In today's digital era, we cannot deny that both in conducting lectures and outside of lectures, good communication skills are very important to have. We hope that this activity can be beneficial for students and will be a provision for them when they enter the world of work.” added Prof. Mulyawan. (-nm-)
