Bachelor of English Received AUN-QA International Certification
As one of the most favorite study programs in Udayana University, Bachelor of English (BoE) has always committed in providing the best learning experiences for its students. Proven by continuous developments to improve its quality. Last year, on July 4th 2021 to be exact, BoE received an International Certification from ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA).
This afternoon, February 16th 2022, through an awarding ceremony conducted at the university’s rectorate, BoE, along with three other study programs (Development Economic, Mechanical Engineering, and Veterinary Science), received the Certificate directly from the University’s Rector, witnessed by the Vice Rectors, Head of University’s Quality-Assurance Unit, and the Deans of the Faculties.
Through his speech delivered in today’s event, Rector of Udayana University, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Gde Antara, M.Eng. IPU expressed that he is grateful for BoE’s and the other three study programs’ achievements in AUN-QA certification. He said, "Thank you very much, this will be a stepping stone and this will be an experience to encourage international certification or accreditation to other study programs in Udayana University". In addition, the University’s Rector explained that this year the university is targeting 15 study programs, including BoE, to participate in the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA) international accreditation program in order to support the Main Performance Indicators (IKU) of the university.
In this occasion, the Dean of Faculty of Humanities, Dr. Made Sri Satyawati, S.S., M.Hum extended her gratitude to Bachelor of English (BoE) study program for its success in acquiring AUN-QA International Certification. She hopes that this achievement will encourage BoE and the other study programs in Faculty of Humanities to participate in International Accreditation program as being prepared by Udayana University for 3 study programs in Faculty of Humanities. In addition, Dr. Satyawati expressed her highest appreciation to Udayana University’s Rector for giving an opportunity to BoE to participate in the AUN-QA International Certification.
In response to this appreciation, the Coordinator of BoE, Dr. I Wayan Mulyawan, S.S., M.Hum. stated that BoE’s success in AUN-QA was undetachable from the contributions of several parties. Therefore, in this occasion, he thanked the task force, Faculty of Humanities, as well as Udayana University for the endless support given during the process of certification. He also thanked BoE’s alumni and all stake holders who participated in the process. Adding his statement, Dr. Mulyawan said that AUN-QA certification would be BoE’s first step to be internationally recognized as has been targeted and stated in BoE’s vision. He said, “This achievement aligns with BoE’s vision to be internationally recognized and participating in FIBAA international accreditation program will be the next step in internationalization”. In addition, participating in FIBAA will also support BoE’s “Unggul” predicate which was achieved from the National Accreditation Agency of Higher Education (BAN PT) last year which marks BoE’s consecutive success on achieving the highest predicate from BAN PT.
