INAUGURATION DAY OF BACHELOR OF ENGLISH STUDENTS (INDEED) 2022
The D-Day of Inauguration Day of Bachelor of English (INDEED) was held on Saturday, February 12th, 2022, at Widya Sabha Mandala Auditorium Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Mantra Faculty of Humanities Udayana University. This event was attended by the Vice Dean II of the Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University, Dr. Dra. Ni Made Suryati, M.Hum, Coordinator of the Bachelor of English of the Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University, Dr. I Wayan Mulyawan, S.S., M.Hum, the supervisor of the Student Association of Bachelor of English, Faculty of Humanities, I Gusti Ngurah Parthama, SS., M.Hum. This event was also attended by the chairman of student organizations such as the chairperson of the Student Representative Board of the Faculty of Humanities, Chairman of the Student Senate of the Faculty of Humanities, and Chairman of the Student Association of Bachelor of English, Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University.
The agenda began with a report by the chairman of the committee, then continued with a speech conducted by the Chairman of the Student Association of Bachelor of English. The welcoming speech was continued by the Coordinator of the Bachelor of English of the Faculty of Humanities, and the Vice Dean II of the Faculty of Humanities which continued with the opening of the event officially marked by the hitting of the gong and the installation of nametags to the coordinator class of 2021.
Inauguration Day of Bachelor of English Students is one of the Student Association of Bachelor of English’s working programs which is held annually. The goal is to introduce the structure of Bachelor of English to the new students; the Student Association of Bachelor of English; strengthen the spirit of family, tolerance, solidarity, and appoint the new students of Bachelor of English.
This year INDEED takes the theme 'INDELIBLE' (Insight, Dedication, and Impeccable), with the sub-theme 'Becoming a Dedicated Agent of Change with Remarkable Insight through Inauguration Day of Bachelor of English Student.' The reason behind this theme is the desire and hope to create a period of orientation as enables new students or the younger generation have a high spirit, dedication, and knowledge to become useful for themselves and others. INDEED 2022 is participated by 201 students.
INDEED 2022 takes the hybrid concept, where there are representatives of the participants from each group who attend the event in location and others attend the events through the Zoom Meeting room. As for the series of INDEED 2022 events that have been passed, including the Meeting of Participants (PETA) which had been held on January 15th, 2022, the implementation of the 4P program (Cleaning, Planting, Provision, and Teaching) was held on February 5, 2022. For cleaning, planting, and provision had been held at Pura Kahyangan Jagat Bukit Dharma Durga Kutri located in Buruan Village, Gianyar. The teaching activity was done symbolically to SD N 3 Buruan due to circulars related to the surge in Covid-19 cases in Bali, so that learning activities were carried out online. INDEED 2022 also held an informal meeting with bendesa adat and I Made Irawan as the main speaker. The meeting discussed the history or origin of Pura Kahyangan Jagat Bukit Dharma Durga Kutri.
After several INDEED 2022 agendas passed, the organizing committee further prepared itself for the final stage of INDEED 2022. In addition to the welcomes, The D-Day of INDEED 2022 is filled with an interesting event agenda such as the presentation of material by the coordinator of the Bachelor of English and talking show with the chairman of HMPSSI. Then it was continued by the airing of the three best inaugural videos, ramah tamah, screening of 4P documentation results, committee introduction videos, submission of the 2021 batch’s task, and announcement of the best champions. Finally, INDEED 2022 arrived in the last agenda, which was closing ceremony. The closure was carried out by the supervisor of the Student Association of Bachelor of English, which was marked by the beating of gong and the release of the nametag of the class coordinator of the 2021 batch.
All the event committee has worked hard so that the entire series of INDEED 2022 events can take place smoothly and successfully, despite many obstacles, solutions can still be found to overcome them. INDEED 2023 is expected to create a better event than this year and it is hoped that later all Bachelor of English families can meet in person without being constrained and hindered by the pandemic.
